Navy grants GE a $16M radar display contract
NEW YORK – The U.S. Navy awarded GE Aviation a $16 million contract for radar displays in tactical planes, the company said in a statement Monday.
Stuart Mullan, president of GE Aviation Systems’ Military Business Unit, said the company would add software features and updated technology to the radar display of the AV-8B Harrier II Plus airplanes. The planes are short-takeoff vertical landing tactical strike aircraft, according to a release from the company

GE Aviation is a unit of the General Electric Co. Shares of GE fell 39 cents, or 4.2 percent, to $8.99 in afternoon trading. ( AP )
